Necessary session cookie
The ark_session cookie identifies your authenticated session. Its configured lifetime is seven days from session creation, and it can become unusable earlier if the session is revoked or account access is restricted. It is HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, uses the Secure flag in production, and is scoped to its host rather than shared across all subdomains. Account access depends on server-side authorization; signing out revokes the current session. The account system uses separate workspace sessions and short-lived handoff records rather than treating a browser preference as authorization. Signing out of one session does not by itself revoke every other device or workspace session. Blocking or removing the session cookie prevents continued sign-in through that session; removing a cookie does not itself erase the corresponding server record. Session and security information can also be processed on the server as described in the Privacy Policy.
Preferences and saved work on this device
Product and supplier comparison selections are saved in localStorage under ark.compare.products and ark.compare.suppliers. These selections have no application-set automatic expiry and remain until changed or cleared. Product inquiry drafts are saved in sessionStorage with the prefix ark:product-inquiry: followed by the product identifier; product comment drafts use the prefix ark:product-comment: followed by the identifier. Drafts can contain quantities, units, currency, destination, requirements, selected product models or comment text, including any information you type into those fields. The application restores a draft only within 24 hours of its saved time and removes the relevant draft after successful submission. Reaching that restoration limit does not automatically erase the browser-stored value: it can remain until replaced, submitted successfully, cleared through browser controls or removed by the browser’s storage lifecycle. Avoid a shared browser for confidential work and remove saved data when finished. Account language and notification preferences are saved on the server. Device storage does not grant access to another company or replace sign-in checks. Browser profiles and devices have separate local data.
First-party product activity
Product-card impressions and clicks are counted without creating analytics cookies, using local storage or assigning a persistent visitor identifier. The page-only deduplication token stays in memory and expires within 24 hours. Reports are aggregate activity, not unique visitors or search-engine impressions. This statement concerns product-card activity, not necessary sessions, saved work or infrastructure security logs. A separate server report classifies a request’s referring source into a broad category; it does not save referral attribution in browser storage. Product-activity receipt cleanup on the server and draft restoration on the device are different processes.
Optional marketing
No optional marketing or advertising trackers are enabled by default. The current platform displays contextual advertisements selected by the article, category and campaign settings; it does not record advertising-specific impression or click events or use an individual browsing profile to select those advertisements. Public pages may load Google Fonts, Unsplash imagery, supplier images or advertising media whose servers receive the requests needed to deliver them. Clicking an advertisement, supplier website or LinkedIn or WhatsApp sharing link opens a third-party destination that applies its own privacy and storage practices. Sharing links do not automatically publish a post when the page loads. Any later third-party tracking service must be disclosed and configured with the applicable consent controls before activation. Do not assume a public image host or linked service uses the same practices as ArkIndMarket.
Your browser controls and contact
You can remove cookies and device preferences through your browser. Removing the session cookie prevents further use of that session from the browser, and removing saved device data may discard comparisons or form drafts. Browser deletion does not delete server-side business records or sign out unrelated sessions on other devices or workspaces.
